Treatment of decay and dental fillings
A filling repairs a tooth affected by decay, broken or worn. When there is decay, the dentist removes the affected part and rebuilds the tooth with the material best suited to the case. A filling may also be recommended where there is no decay, to restore the shape of a tooth and protect a damaged area. Before treatment, the team assesses the extent of the problem. If the inside of the tooth is affected, root canal treatment may be needed; if a larger part of the tooth is missing, a crown may be recommended.
Endodontics: root canal treatment
When the inside of a tooth is inflamed or infected, root canal treatment may be needed. The dentist removes the affected tissue, cleans the inside of the tooth and seals the canals. The aim is to keep the natural tooth when this is clinically possible. The team then assesses how to restore it: in some cases a filling is enough; in others, a crown may be needed. The number of appointments depends on the condition of the tooth and the complexity of the canals.
Periodontal treatment: gum care
Gums that bleed, are inflamed or have receded need to be assessed. Where there is periodontitis, the disease can also affect the bone that supports the teeth. Treatment depends on the diagnosis and may include professional cleaning, treatment below the gum line and regular follow-up. In certain situations, other procedures may be needed. Clear aligners
Aligners are removable, custom-made appliances that move the teeth gradually. They may be an option if you want to correct the alignment of your teeth discreetly. Before proposing treatment, the team assesses your teeth, gums and bite. The plan sets out the planned movements, the estimated duration, how often the aligners must be worn and the check-ups needed. As the treatment requires follow-up over time, we explain how the appointments will be organised before going ahead.
Full mouth rehabilitation
When several problems need a combined plan. It is not always a single treatment: it may be necessary to bring together the restoration of natural teeth, crowns, gum care and implants in one plan, in a set order. The team assesses the whole mouth and explains where to start, what stages are planned and how they fit together.
Teeth whitening
Whitening can help lighten the colour of natural teeth. Depending on the assessment, it can be carried out at the clinic or at home with custom-made trays, following the team's instructions. Before starting, we check the condition of your teeth and gums and talk with you about the result you are looking for. Veneers, crowns and other restorations do not change colour with whitening; if you have any in a visible area, we plan with you the best way to achieve a harmonious smile.
